Compact, reliable, easy to maintain: The wear-resistant TORNADO® T.Proc® rotary lobe pump is available in both all-metal and metal-elastomer versions. Thanks to the innovative FSIP® (Full Service in Place) design, it is particularly easy to maintain.
With the self-priming rotary lobe pumps, you can reliably convey abrasive and aggressive media. Even adhesive or shear-sensitive substances with hygienic requirements are not a challenge for the powerful T.Proc®. For residue-free cleaning of the hygienic version, you can use the proven CIP process (Cleaning-In-Place) and the SIP process (Sterilisation-In-Place). This allows you to clean or sterilise your system without prior disassembly in a circular or continuous operation. Maintenance is also possible without disassembly, thanks to the FSIP® concept. With the help of the setting device mounted in front of the pump cover, you can easily position the rotary lobes after servicing without the need for expensive special tools. Both the all-metal and the industrial models deliver continuously and evenly. The oil-free belt drive also ensures that the pump runs exceptionally smoothly. This results in fewer vibrations and minor wear on all components, increasing the pump's service life. Since the system is not lubricated, there is no need for time-consuming lubricant changes and no risk of leakage. However, should service or repair work be necessary on the T.Proc®, you can do it quickly and, above all, easily thanks to the direct access to the pump chamber. After removing the drive cover, you have access to the complete synchronising belt drive. This minimises your workload to a minimum. Despite the compact design, maximum operational safety is ensured by the spatial separation of the pump and gearbox compartments. This allows you to convey your product safely and gently at the same time.
1 Rotor setting device
Using the setting device, the lobes are adjusted radially and axially.
2 Front cover
The pump cover can be opened from the front without expensive special tools. That gives you quick and easy access to the entire pump chamber. Optionally, the front cover in the all-metal version can also be heated.
3 Cover inliner
Due to the extremely low expansion of the elastomer inserts and the elastomer lobes, the pump can also be used at fluctuating operating temperatures without reducing service life and efficiency.
The simple, robust shape of the rotary lobes ensures high stability. Due to the geometry, each lobe, in both the all-metal and metal-elastomer versions, can be installed and removed independently. The rotary lobes can be changed in just a few steps because the lobes are not screwed to the shaft but are fixed with easily accessible clamping elements. Moreover, no axial adjustment work is required on the rotary lobes. No solids or fibrous materials can stick to the smooth, flat face of the rotary lobes.
The cartridge design is available in single- and double-acting versions. The seal is positioned specifically to avoid dead space, and the rotating seal faces are within the conveyed medium.
6 Casing inliner
Equally low elastomer wall thicknesses within the pump chamber reduce negative consequences caused by temperature influences in conventional rotary lobe pumps with elastomer lobes.
7 Rotor case
The housing is available with different connections, flanges or threaded connections. The interior of the housing in the all-metal version is absolutely free of dead space.
8 Bearing housing
The bearing housing is designed according to the BSS-System (Bearing Security System): It is physically separated from the pump housing. The bearings are lubricated for life.
9 Tooth belt drive
Synchronisation and drive via maintenance free tooth belt drive, which runs completely oil-free.
