There are two aspects of wastewater treatment plants at Celle (Germany) which have a direct use: in addition to cleaning waste water, the sewage sludge which arises with the nutrients it contains can be used later as manure in agriculture.
Look behind the scenes
The sewage sludge is transported via a pressure pipe around 25 metres in length with several right-angled turns – ten metres of it being geodesic – to a silo and from there it is later spread over agricultural areas. So that the mix can be stored, it is first dewatered in an angle press and flocculating agents are added.
Because of the high cohesiveness which caused repeated entanglements and bridge building. "The operational downtime amounted to three to four hours a week in all," says the Area Sales Manager from NETZSCH. The wastewater treatment plant need a reliable system without shutdowns.
The pump specialists from Waldkraiburg developed the aBP module®. It comprises a top hopper with two spoked wheels attached to its internal sides. The wheels sit deep inside the hopper and are very close to the walls. When they turn, the effect on the medium being poured in is as if the whole hopper sides were moving. The pumping system with the integrated bridge breaker has also proved itself in continuous operation. Operational reliability has increased considerably, while it has been possible to almost completely do away with inspections for the conveyor, which had been standard up to this point. "The plant and the aBP module have proved to be very robust," reports the expert from NETZSCH. "Since then there have been no more operational shutdowns."
Your device is too small to show this table. TORNADO® Industrial Rotary Lobe Pumps T2
The TORNADO® rotary lobe pump is a positive displacement pump. The pumping action is generated by the contra-rotation of two rotors within the pump chamber which are synchronised externally. The media enters the pump chamber through the inlet port and is carried around the chamber by the rotors to the outlet port where it is discharged.
NEMO® BP Hopper Pump with Feeding Screw and Bridge Breaking Paddle or aBP-Module
For highly viscous, compacted and crumbly substances that have a tendency to bridge, the NEMO® BP Progressing Cavity Pump is the optimal solution. The NEMO® BP can be used in nearly all branches of industry to provide continuous, pressure-stable, gentle and low-pulsation conveyance with dosing in proportion to rotation speed.
The NETZSCH TORNADO® Mobile
A TORNADO® rotary lobe pump fastened onto a mobile base – this is the NETZSCH TORNADO® Mobile. The concept of mounting the equipment onto a car or truck trailer makes it possible to pump large quantities of fluids with solid content, wastewater and slurries at the most unusual of sites.
NEMO® Pump BY
NEMO® BY Progressing Cavity Pumps can be used in any area of industry where a great variety of different substances must be pumped or very precisely dosed.
M-Ovas® Grinding System
NETZSCH M-Ovas® grinding systems can be used wherever it is essential that solid matter in fluids be broken down reliably to ensure the prevention of pipe clogging and damage to downstream equipment.
NEMO® SY Industrial Construction in Bearing Block Design with Free Shaft Extension
The NEMO® SY Progressing Cavity Pump is used for demanding applications in every branch of industry around the globe. In bearing block design with free shaft extension, this pump can be run with any type of drive, such as servo motors, diesel motors or hydraulic drives.
NEMO® BF Progressing Cavity Pump with Hopper and Feeding Screw
The NEMO® BF is used in all branches of industry to provide continuous, pressure-stable, gentle and low-pulsation conveyance with dosing in proportion to rotation speed. It is employed primarily for highly viscous, compacted and crumbly substances that do not have a tendency to bridge.
