Look behind the scenes

When emptying containers using progressing cavity pumps for example, barrels can be drained to a residual quantity of less than one percent. And, thereby, they provide higher cleanliness and safety against contamination than, for example, open tilting devices.  

Challenge accepted

A sauce manufacturer had repeated problems when emptying the basic cooker using a raising-tilting system: Spraying, hot medium and the resulting slippery floor were also problematic with regard to hygiene and the occupational safety and material losses were also not to be underestimated.  

Excellently solved

As classical emptying of the container was not suitable due to the shape of the cooker and the kitchen provided too little space for a progressing cavity pump, for this case of application, NETZSCH recommended another displacement pump system, the T.Sano® rotary lobe pump. The T.Sano® full metal pump is connected to the basic cooker and the actual cooking vessel by hoses safe for food. The prepared base product can then be easily pumped into the next container for refining. Hazardous spray and slippery floors are a thing of the past, the hygiene standard can be significantly increased by the enclosed conveying system. Furthermore, time-consuming and staff-intensive manual movement of the goods is omitted. The ingredients of the sauce, are not impaired by this gentle conveying: The rotary lobe pump features a large free ball passage. Thus, displacement technology is a suitable, efficient solution for conveying for all types of requirement in the food sector.
