It is our personal aspiration, even in these challenging times, to find solutions to these demanding issues. In addition to complying with government and local health authority guidelines, NETZSCH has therefore taken additional protective measures at its production sites to ensure a safe working environment for all employees and third parties.
Dear Valued Customer and Partners,
As the Corona Virus (COVID-19) pandemic continues to escalate around the world and in the United States of America, all of us are facing a completely unprecedented situation. The last few days have shown us that the very dynamic consequences and circumstances have fully hit our normal life and almost nothing is as it was before. Our thoughts are with all the people who have been affected by the COVID-19 situation and we wish all of them the very best.
We are more than grateful to all the real heroes such as the healthcare workers, nurses, and the medical doctors who are working tirelessly to save lives. But we are also grateful to all the truck drivers, grocery store staff, police officers and many others who are working very hard to ensure that the infrastructure and supply chain for our daily needs is maintained. They safeguard our wellbeing and guarantee our safety in the midst of this crisis. We are also very grateful for our Operations team in our factories around the world who come to work every day to ensure that our pumps and parts are being manufactured, assembled and shipped to you so that you can continue to operate your plants that produce all of the goods which are so much needed by our society.
NETZSCH has been monitoring the situation twice a day to be sure our promises to you are kept while we are maintaining the health and safety of our employees and customers which is our paramount concern. NETZSCH has implemented many proactive measures to control and minimize the spread of the virus and has put contingency plans in place to confirm that our business can continue without any major disruptions. We are doing our best to maintain this except for situations out of our control when new local or state government regulations are imposed.
So far we have been lucky that none of our employees has been tested positive and we are continuing to take preventive measures in all 3 of our North American stocking locations in Exton, PA, Houston, TX and Barrie, ON. Our assembly plants in PA and Ontario are fully operational and our standard inventory levels in the USA and Canada is significant and able to maintain approximately 6 months of regular order volume.
NETZSCH Pumps North America (NPA) is following all relevant guidelines published by the CDC, WHO, State and local authorities. Many of our customers are operating our pumps in “life sustaining” business segments and provide essential services vital to our everyday life, such as: Food Processing, Water and Waste Water Treatment facilities, Oil & Gas Midstream & Downstream, Pharmaceutical, Chemical, Mining, Navy and many other industries and markets. For this reason NPA will remain open and operational, being particularly vigilant with regard to best practices, including maintenance of “Social Distancing” and other mitigating measures as prescribed by the Order of the PA government to provide pumps and parts to support our customers in these essential infrastructure sectors.
NETZSCH is a very stable, mid-sized German company, with an almost 150 year history, engaging in the manufacture of machinery and instrumentation with worldwide production, sales, and service branches. As a family-owned company, we have always placed great importance on the crisis-resistance of the NETZSCH Group. Thanks to our truly global set-up of factories in all continents, with an enhanced vertical integration and manufacturing of identical components in up to 5 locations, we feel confident that we will be able to minimize the impact of any possible regional bottlenecks and local shut-downs and to continue our cooperation with you on a solid and reliable basis.
We are certain that we will come out of this crisis stronger after the world starts to normalize again.
