Wastewater and Sludge Treatment

Rotating positive-displacement pumps have been used for decades in wastewater and sludge treatment as handling systems for all types of substances. Due to their regulatory properties, these pumps deliver secure, dependable, and efficient processing.

Along with sand additives, wastewater being treated often contains coarse floating pollutants, decomposing matter, sludge-generating particulate materials, dissolved organic matter and bacteria.

None of these substances present any problem for NETZSCH Pumps and Grinding Systems: Our NEMO® Progressing Cavity Pumps and NETZSCH TORNADO® Rotary Lobe Pumps, along with the NEMO® M-Ovas® provide you with the optimal technical solution for your application.

The following  flow chart shows the individual processing steps in wastewater treatment for communal and industrial sewage plants, from inflow to discharge into the disposal system, along with the corresponding sludge treatment.

The NEMO® BF is used in all industrial markets to provide continuous, pressure-stable, gentle and low-pulsation handling with metering in proportion to rotation speed. This pump is used primarily for highly viscous, compacted and crumbly substances that do not have a tendency to bridge.

The NETZSCH TORNADO® Mobile

A TORNADO® rotary lobe pump fastened onto a mobile base – this is the NETZSCH TORNADO® Mobile. The concept of mounting the equipment onto a car or truck trailer makes it possible to pump large quantities of fluids with solid content, wastewater and slurries at the most unusual of sites.

M-Ovas® Grinding System

NETZSCH M-Ovas® grinding systems can be used wherever it is essential that solid matter in fluids be broken down reliably to ensure the prevention of pipe clogging and damage to downstream equipment.
